Cariden MATE 4.4 successfully certified with Alcatel-Lucent 5620 SAM 9.0 and 5650 CPAM 5.0

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – 11 July, 2011 – Cariden Technologies, Inc., supplier of industry-standard software for IP/MPLS traffic management, today announced that Cariden MATE™ Software Release 4.4 has been successfully certified with the Alcatel-Lucent 5620 Service Aware Manager (SAM) version 9.0 and the Alcatel-Lucent 5650 Control Plane Assurance Manager (CPAM) version 5.0.

Cariden has been working with Alcatel-Lucent for many years and is an active member of the OSS Connected Partner Program. As a ConnectedPlus member, and with its commitment to achieve certification for each release of MATE software, Cariden is reassuring customers as to the quality of interoperability between the three products. The combination of MATE software, 5620 SAM, and 5650 CPAM provide integrated solutions for the network life cycle from planning and design, to implementing, operating, and optimizing the network. By sharing the discovered network topology, traffic measurements, and other relevant data, such as traffic engineering information, the integrated solution minimizes management traffic and additional impact on the network while simplifying deployment and maintenance.

This integration also enhances each product’s capabilities as demonstrated in the following examples.

  • MATE software uses network topology from 5620 SAM and/or 5650 CPAM and statistics from 5620 SAM to populate and update network models used for capacity planning, simulation analysis, and traffic engineering management.
  • 5620 SAM provides integrated provisioning of MATE information, thus expediting the activation of planned changes.
  • MATE traffic engineering capabilities complement 5650 CPAM route analytics to provide even greater predictability and control of your network.
  • MATE simulation and analysis can be triggered by 5650 CPAM’s real-time notification of network changes, enabling operators to react quickly to network changes that could impact traffic.

Commenting on this successful certification, Arman Maghbouleh, President of Cariden, offered, “Cariden has had a successful partnership with Alcatel-Lucent for many years, and this certification is proof of our commitment to continual strengthening of the relationship we have developed. Our customers expect their suppliers to work together to provide efficient management solutions that they can confidently implement in their networks. Alcatel-Lucent understands the need to meet this requirement and collaborates closely with us to ensure our products interoperate effectively, while helping our customers get the best from their networks.”
